About the Role
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, the Commercial Analyst plays a key role in supporting retail performance through high-quality analysis, reporting, and commercial insight.
This role is focused on understanding store-level trading performance, sales and margin drivers, cost control, and investment outcomes. Working closely with FP&A, retail operations, merchandising, and support teams, you will help translate financial data into practical insights that support informed decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and re-forecasts across the retail network
Deliver weekly and monthly trading performance reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
Provide store-level and region-level analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
Analyse key retail drivers including sales mix, gross margin, promotions, labour, occupancy, and inventory
Support new store, refurbishment, and investment business cases
Partner with operational and commercial teams to understand performance drivers
Maintain and improve financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools
Assist with ad-hoc commercial analysis and strategic initiatives as required
About You
Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
CA or CPA qualified, or currently working towards qualification (preferred)
2–5 years’ experience in retail FP&A, commercial finance, or management accounting
Strong analytical and financial modelling capability, with advanced Excel skills
Experience working with large datasets and regular reporting cycles
Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with non-finance stakeholders
