About the Role

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, the Commercial Analyst plays a key role in supporting retail performance through high-quality analysis, reporting, and commercial insight.

This role is focused on understanding store-level trading performance, sales and margin drivers, cost control, and investment outcomes. Working closely with FP&A, retail operations, merchandising, and support teams, you will help translate financial data into practical insights that support informed decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and re-forecasts across the retail network
  • Deliver weekly and monthly trading performance reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
  • Provide store-level and region-level analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Analyse key retail drivers including sales mix, gross margin, promotions, labour, occupancy, and inventory
  • Support new store, refurbishment, and investment business cases
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to understand performance drivers
  • Maintain and improve financial models, dashboards, and reporting tools
  • Assist with ad-hoc commercial analysis and strategic initiatives as required
About You
  • Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
  • CA or CPA qualified, or currently working towards qualification (preferred)
  • 2–5 years’ experience in retail FP&A, commercial finance, or management accounting
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling capability, with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience working with large datasets and regular reporting cycles
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with non-finance stakeholders
