Join Amart as a Project Manager and play a key role in delivering construction, fit-out and property projects across our national portfolio. Advising in the early stages and then supporting projects from formal agreement through to handover and defects close-out, you’ll work with builders, consultants, landlords and internal teams to keep delivery on track, on budget and aligned to Amart standards. Key Responsibilities
Provide advice to deal negotiators on design, construction methodology and cost in the initial stages
Lead delivery of assigned projects from formal agreement to PC and defects close-out.
Lead delivery of assigned fit-out works and defects close-out.
Coordinate and engage builders, fit-out contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
Track construction programmes and assist in managing critical path items.
Attend and/or run PCG meeting including site meetings, track actions, and follow-ups.
Oversee defect rectification and operational handover.
Design and Documentation Coordination
Coordinate consultant inputs to ensure drawings and documentation are complete and issued on time.
Review documentation for consistency with Amart standards and DA conditions.
Coordinate IFC designs with both internal and external stakeholder.
Cost and Programme Control
Coordinate tenders and tender reviews.
Track and manage project budgets, variations, and contingencies.
Review builder claims and consultant invoices for accuracy.
Maintain cost, programme trackers, and provide regular updates to the internal team.
Oversee risk, Safety and Compliance
Assist in maintaining project risk registers and issue logs.
Support WHS, environmental and quality compliance on site.
Escalate emerging issues, delays, or cost risks early.
Work closely with Store Development, Property Development, Operations and Asset Management teams to support smooth delivery and handover.
Provide clear, practical updates to senior team members.
Support fire compliance requirements across projects, including review and coordination of Fire Engineer Reports (FER) and ensuring alignment with NCC/BCA and relevant Australian Standards
Assist with administrative coordination across all property projects, including maintaining documentation, trackers, and reporting outputs.
Support the broader Property team with ad-hoc project requirements to ensure continuity of delivery across multiple active projects.
Skills and Experience
Experience
5+ years’ experience in construction or project management.
Exposure to both full documentation and D&C projects from documentation through to completion.
Exposure to AFL and managing Landlords SOW and obligations.
Basic understanding of fire compliance and building services, including the ability to interpret Fire Engineer Reports and related documentation.
Experience working with builders, consultants, and site teams.
Technical Skills
Working knowledge of construction programes and cost tracking.
Competency in Excel and basic reporting.
Competency in MS Project.
Familiarity with Australian construction documentation and approvals processes.
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Property, or similar, or equivalent practical experience.

Comfortable operating in a contractor or project-based environment.
