We are seeking a dynamic Leader with strong interpersonal skills to manage our Queensland Distribution Centre (QDC) based at Rochedale. This role reports into the National Logistics Operations Manager & will have full accountability for leading the QDC team whilst providing the highest level of service to all customers & stores.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Mange a team of 90+ team members & contractors to ensure they are performing their duties in accordance within the company standards & policies;
  • Ensure that visions & strategies are translated into specific deliverables in order to get results;
  • Plan & execute daily functions of the Distribution Centre to ensure all activities are processed;
  • Consistently improve processes that will enable cost reductions & productivity improvements; &
  • Monitor & control cost on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget.

About you:

To be successful in this role you must be highly motivated, results driven with a passion for building a culture of excellence through effective leadership. You will have exceptional customer service with the ability to think strategically & show initiative whilst also mentoring & developing the team. The QDC is adjoined to our National Store Support Centre which is where our Senior Leadership Team are based & therefore you must be able to communicate effectively with key stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.

Key requirements include:

  • Logistics management experience at a senior level.
  • Strong organisational skills with great time management.
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, counsel & discipline Team Members where appropriate.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large teams to deliver safety, financial & service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Proven experience in leading & overseeing a distribution centre, including labour & transport planning, warehousing & distribution, customer service, quality & safety to deliver on operational targets & strategic objectives.
  • Proven ability to optimise planning, operations & resources to ensure maximum capability, output & quality products.
  • Experience in assisting with the creation of budgets, forecasts & reports & ensure site operates within budget.
  • A strong “Safety First” focus.
